Sylvia Benavides and Ricardo Rivera have been in the heavy-duty truck and trailer parts aftermarket business for well over 55 years combined.  Ricardo is knowledgeable in various aspects in truck and trailer parts.  He has worked in the oilfield business, in export/import, warehousing, and retail sales.  Sylvia has worked in accounting for a beverage company and an import/exported for truck parts. Both Ricardo and Sylvia received training in engine turbos, trailer suspensions and electrical harnessing, and various other smaller seminars in truck related parts.  In June 2001, they opted to establish SR Parts, Inc.  On July 23, 2001, they were granted their corporate charter by the State of Texas.

For the first two years in business, they worked out of our homes selling replacement and repair parts for transmissions and differentials, cargo tie down equipment such as chains, lever binders, straps, and winches locally, into Mexico, and in surrounding cities as far south as Brownsville, TX and Matamoros, Tamaulipas.  By July of 2002, they had sub-leased a small area in a warehouse to store about 4 to 6 skids of inventory.

By July 2003, they had more inventories that went well over their leased space.  In August 2003, they found a corner location for lease – 8660 San Lorenzo Dr. Laredo, TX.  This site is located right off of IH 35 south - exit 7.    Inventory for showroom and stock now consists of Chrome accessories, LED lighting, mud flaps, cargo tie down equipment, all major transmission and differential replacement parts, suspension replacement parts, air coils, air springs, shock absorbers, brake chambers, mirrors, steering wheels, metal polishes, and various other truck and trailer parts.  Markets targeted are wholesalers and retailers in Mexico, fleets along both sides of the border, independent truck drivers, mechanics and mobile units.
